COVID-19 and Volunteering

We are reintroducing volunteers in phases. Please be patient with us, as these phases will occur SLOWLY. We are working on revamping our Volunteer Orientation and will announce on our social media and monthly email newsletter when that orientation is back open to the public. Currently, only fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed to return to in-person volunteering.

FAQs

Q: Who can volunteer?

A: 9th grade and older

Q: When can I volunteer?

A: You can volunteer 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m in the client area or 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the front office. Volunteer weekly, monthly, or as needed for special events. Whatever you can give is valuable and much appreciated. There are very limited weekend and evening volunteer opportunities. Volunteers usually stay for 1 to 2 hours, and volunteer slots must be scheduled in advance.

Q: What opportunities are available?

A: Volunteers can work directly with clients. Activities might include art, games, music, manicures, gardening, devotions, and social time. Volunteers are needed to assist with cleaning, maintenance, and front desk reception.

Also, we need volunteers, who are 18 and up, to help with fundraising events. If you have a special skill, we would be happy to work with you to find the best way to use your talents in volunteering.
