Position Title: Care Assistant
Reports To: Nurse
Full-time position paying $9/hour (increasing to $9.50/hour after 90 days)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Page Robbins Adult Day Center is looking for a full-time Care Assistant or CNA to join our team. Care Assistants lead our fun and engaging activities and provide exceptional, loving care. They make each day at Page Robbins the Best Day Ever for our clients!

Responsibilities
•Lead activities for our clients with memory loss – games, exercise, reminiscing, crafts, music, gardening, food preparation, themed parties, and more
•Present activities with creativity and an upbeat attitude to encourage clients to participate
•Help our clients embrace joy in the moment – celebrate what they still have to offer rather than the abilities and memories they have lost
•Encourage client independence, support client choice, and preserve client dignity
•Observe and report physical or behavioral changes
•Observe client needs and adapt to meet them
•Make our center a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for all clients and visitors
•Provide dignified personal care – restroom assistance, bathing, hair care, meal assistance
•Keep the center clean and orderly with light housekeeping
•Spread joy, have fun, and laugh!

•Passionate about working with seniors and adults with memory loss

Requirements
•Volunteer or paid experience working with seniors and/or adults with cognitive and physical impairment
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Pass a fingerprint background check and drug screen
